Barbara Van Hare

President of Pattern.org & RCRF Board Member

Barbara has been with the Rare Cancer Research Foundation since its inception. She currently leads all of the organization’s patient advocacy and institutional relationships, as well as manages Pattern.org’s tissue collection process. In addition, she is a consultant to the Cancer Cell Line Factory at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, an active member of the Rare Disease Diversity Coalition (an initiative of the Black Women’s Health Imperative), a member of NORD’s Rare Cancer Coalition and is on the Advisory Panel for the Sarcoma Coalition. Prior to her work with RCRF, she held various management positions in sales and marketing during her 30 year career at Hallmark Cards. Barbara graduated with a B.A. from Northwestern University.
